About

Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is an effective method of renal replacement therapy (RRT) providing a high level of patient autonomy. During therapy, structural changes are however frequently occurring in the peritoneal membrane, which may lead to therapy failure after 3-5 years. Therefore, the aim of our group is to develop new therapeutic drugs delaying peritoneal deterioration and thereby improving peritoneal membrane function.
