About

The Deptartment of Internal Medicine and Nephrology at the Robert Bosch Hospital (RBK) is a leading German centre for complex nephrology with growing international visibility. Research strategy integrates three pillars: clinical trials, a granular real-world data and AI platform, and translational research in collaboration with IKP. Since Introducation of a fully digital patient record at RBK (2017), we have built one of Germany’s most detailed inpatient kidney datasets. The platform captures longitudinal clinical data, procedures, medications, structured information from clinical documents, etc. Our concept enables the integration of clinical trials, high-resolution clinical data and mechanistic laboratory research to strengthen RBK as an international centre for translational nephrology research.
