About
Calcification is a hallmark during the formal pathogenesis of a lot of diseases. Our research group investigates mechanisms of calcification both on cardiovascular model diseases like atherosclerosis and aortic valve sclerosis as well as noncardiovascular diseases like cancer. Expanding our knowledge and tools to this issue aims to clarify whether calcification not only is a hallmark of formal but also a key player of causal pathogenesis of disease.
